FTTH Planning Checklist for Estates and Business Clusters

Successful FTTH deployment starts with a proper route survey and accurate distance estimates. Confirm duct availability, pole route options, and access constraints before procurement.

Define your splitter strategy early. Cascaded and centralized split designs have different tradeoffs in cost, attenuation, and maintenance complexity.

Plan ODF and termination points based on expansion goals, not only current subscribers. Add spare capacity for growth and emergency reroutes.

Maintenance planning is not optional. Keep records of route maps, splice points, and connector standards to reduce downtime when faults occur.

FMT Nigeria supports supply, installation, and consulting for fibre projects from planning to deployment.
